For many women, there is a gap between finding out they're pregnant and having their first full prenatal visit.
We created Before 10 Weeks Care to provide support during those early weeks of pregnancy. Through access to our team and a dedicated visit with a midwife, you'll have a place to ask questions, receive personalized guidance, access care when needed, and feel cared for while awaiting your first full prenatal appointment.
Just like all Haven care, this support is relationship-centered and individualized. Every pregnancy is unique, and our goal is to meet you where you are, providing thoughtful guidance based on your specific needs and circumstances.
Before 10 Weeks Care is available to women seeking support during early pregnancy, regardless of where they ultimately plan to receive ongoing prenatal care or give birth.
Some women who use this service go on to receive care with Haven, while others continue their pregnancy care with another provider. In either case, our goal is to provide thoughtful, individualized support during these early weeks and help ensure continuity of care as your pregnancy progresses.
Depending on your individual needs, care may include education, reassurance, recommendations for additional evaluation, coordination of labs or ultrasound imaging, prescriptions, supplementation support, or other follow-up care.
What's Included?
Before 10 Weeks Care includes:
- A 30-minute visit with one of our midwives
- Access to our clinical team through the Mobile Midwife chat for questions and guidance
- Personalized guidance based on your health history, symptoms, and concerns
- Education about early pregnancy and what to expect in the weeks ahead
- Coordination of any recommended labs, ultrasounds, prescriptions, supplementation, or additional follow-up care if needed
- Support and guidance through unexpected concerns that may arise during early pregnancy
Because every pregnancy is different, care is individualized. Some women may simply need reassurance and answers to questions, while others may benefit from additional evaluation, testing, treatment, or follow-up. Your midwife will discuss your specific situation and make recommendations based on your unique needs.
Cost
Before 10 Weeks Care is $200.
This includes your 30-minute visit with a midwife and access to our clinical team during this early care period.
Haven is considered an out-of-network provider. At the conclusion of your care, we will provide a superbill for you to self-submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
Labs, ultrasounds, medications, supplements, and additional services may have separate costs. If you have commercial insurance, many labs, medications, and ultrasounds can be billed directly to your insurance.
Important Information
- Before 10 Weeks Care is designed for women who are less than 10 weeks pregnant at the time they establish care. This service concludes at 12 weeks gestation.
- After your intake form is reviewed, our team will reach out to schedule a 30-minute visit with a midwife as soon as possible. This process typically takes 1 business day.
- The $200 visit fee is due at your appointment. Any self-pay lab fees are also due at the time services are provided.
- The Before 10 Weeks Care fee is non-refundable.
- You'll have access to our clinical team through the Mobile Midwife chat and clinic nurse phone line for non-urgent questions and concerns during this care period.
- For urgent medical concerns, you may call the on-call midwife, who is available 24 hours a day.
