Unfortunately we are not able to accept any clients with a history of cesareans for home births.
Certified nurse-midwife services include:
Consultation, care, and referral as indicated
Comprehensive prenatal care - including collection of initial blood work, diabetes testing, and group b strep screening
Hands on support throughout active labor and birth by birth team including a CNM and one of our five RN birth assistants
Homebirth, including water birth
Referral for prenatal ultrasound as indicated
Nutritional counseling
Postpartum care for mother & baby for first six weeks
Newborn physical assessment, including metabolic screening, hearing, jaundice and congenital heart defect screening at 1-2 day home visit
Breastfeeding support
Referrals to complementary health providers and community resources
Women’s Health Care including annual exams, wellness screening, and routine diagnostic testing
CNM is able to write prescriptions if indicated, though alternative options would be explored when available
